Taryne Matzen serves as Zion's finance coordinator. She earned a math degree from UNL and has 20+ years in administrative work. She specializes in pattern recognition, logistical wizardry, and solving problems. She homeschooled two awesome kids, adventured across the globe, and now shares life with her librarian husband and their cat. At home, she switches to homestead mode, wrangling a temperamental Bobcat (the machine, not the wildcat), waging war on invasive red cedars and honey locusts, and occasionally growing tomatoes. She enjoys quilting, board games, and serving at Foodnet.
