Zion Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America.

The Presbyterian Church in America has a strong commitment to evangelism, missionary work at home and abroad, and to Christian education. From its inception, the church has determined its purpose to be “faithful to the Scriptures, true to the reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission.”  Organized at a constitutional assembly in December 1973, this church separated from the Presbyterian Church in the United States (Southern) in opposition to the long-developing theological liberalism which denied the deity of Jesus Christ and the inerrancy and authority of Scripture. Additionally, the PCA held to the traditional position on the role of women in church offices. The PCA Web Site: http://www.pcanet.org/

Zion Church is a member of the Platte Valley Presbytery

At the district level, the PCA is organized by Presbyteries, which consist of Ruling and Teaching Elders from the churches in its membership. The Platte Valley Presbytery consists of the PCA churches in Nebraska. The Platte Valley Presbytery web site: http://www.plattevalleypresbytery.org/

Doctrinal Standards

As a Presbyterian church in the Reformed tradition, Zion church holds to the doctrinal standards of the PCA. As subordinate standards to the Bible, these define the doctrinal boundaries for the teaching and preaching at Zion. Our pastors, elders, and deacons all subscribe to the Westminster Standards as part of their ordination vows, making clear any exceptions they take, and letting the Session (for Ruling Elders and Deacons) or the Presbytery (for Teaching Elders) rule on the acceptability of their exceptions.
