AFC3 Food Net Saturday

Please join us on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. if you would like to help with Food Net. We will meet at the Education Building at 8th and D, in the back entrance to sort and distribute food. If you are in AFC3, your help is especially needed. If you are looking for something to do as a family, this is also something that almost all ages can help with. Also, we use newspaper bags for bagging produce, and we could use a good supply at anytime, as well as plastic grocery bags. Thanks.

Alyssa Schukar - Photographer of the Year

Congratulations to Alyssa Schukar who has been name Photographer of the Year at the annual Nebraska News Photographers Association contest in Omaha.  She works as a freelance photographer in Omaha, and much of her work is published in the World-Herald.  Alyssa provided photos for our Let the Children Come campaign, and you will see her at Zion with Mike and Ellen when she’s in town.  Here’s her award winning shot: http://www.alyssaschukar.com/07poy/

March Mom to Mom Recordings

The latest recordings from our Mom to Mom monthly meetings are available on the Zion website.  Recordings now available are “Bible Study and Prayer” by Barb Nichols, and “Marriage Forum”, our March meeting with special panel guests Wayne and Marsha Howlett, Mike and Tanya Hsu, and Terry and Barb Barber.

Auction and Concert Update

Sunday’s auction and Soup Lunch raised almost $5,000, and the benefit concert raised over $12,000.  These monies go into Zion’s piano and organ fund.

Our Last Sunday at Grace Lutheran

Sunday November 25th will be our last Sunday at Grace Lutheran.  Worship at 10:45.  No Sunday School or AFC’s. 

We are grateful to the Grace Lutheran people for their generosity and help during our four months with them.

Sunday December 2 we will meet at Zion Church, 5511 South 27th, with Sunday School and AFC’s at 9:30 and Worship at 11:00.  There will be some move-in and cleaning work to do, so watch for anouncements concerning times and places to volunteer.
