TWIG: third weekend in groups
This Friday, April 18th
6:30PM
Zion coffee house
This is an AFC1 (college-30’s) social event, but don’t let the label keep you from attending. If you don’t currently attend AFC or if you’ve started attending the Redeemer AFC, we’d still love for you to join us!
Bring yourself, bring a spouse, or bring a friend- you can put your names in the bowl together so you’re not split up. We’ll divide into groups and dine out at restaurants near Zion. Free childcare is always provided by an adult volunteer! Babies, of course, are welcome to tag along for dinner if you prefer. Please call with questions or to let me know your child(ren) need childcare.
See you Friday!

The people going on the Peru Mission Trip are planning a rummage sale for early May, probably at ZION. (Date isn’t confirmed quite yet.) Until then, start setting aside your items for donation. They will be accepting all items for the sale, including furniture, household items, knick knacks, books and games, bicycles, tools, small appliances, baby equipment, music, linens, clothing of all sizes, toys, etc. Things should be clean and in good working order. More information about the sale will be coming soon. If you want a receipt for your donated items, contact Lynn Locklear in the church office.

Please join us on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. if you would like to help with Food Net. We will meet at the Education Building at 8th and D, in the back entrance to sort and distribute food. If you are in AFC3, your help is especially needed. If you are looking for something to do as a family, this is also something that almost all ages can help with. Also, we use newspaper bags for bagging produce, and we could use a good supply at anytime, as well as plastic grocery bags. Thanks.

Congratulations to Alyssa Schukar who has been name Photographer of the Year at the annual Nebraska News Photographers Association contest in Omaha. She works as a freelance photographer in Omaha, and much of her work is published in the World-Herald. Alyssa provided photos for our Let the Children Come campaign, and you will see her at Zion with Mike and Ellen when she’s in town. Here’s her award winning shot: http://www.alyssaschukar.com/07poy/
