Zion supports the campus ministry of Steve Allen with Reformed University Fellowship, the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America.  RUF is present on 110 campuses across the United States.

Steve and Jen with their daughter Amelia and son Miles regularly attend Zion’s daughter congregation, Redeemer Church, but Steve is no stranger at Zion, and is a second pastor to many of our college students.

RUF Large group meets every Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Colonial Room in the City Campus Union. Large group is the central meeting of RUF at UNL. We sing praise and worship songs, listen to Steve give a message from God’s Word, and spend time getting to know one another better.

RUF also has many small-group and one-on-one study and discipleship opportunities through the week. There is also a Fall Conference, a mission trip over spring break, and a trip in June to the national RUF conference in Florida.

Steve and Jen’s daughter Amelia has many special needs due to brain damage suffered from complications with an infection when she was only a few months old during Steve’s last year in seminary.  The Allens keep their friends and family up to date on Amelia news on her blog: Amelia Allen
