Congregational Care
Zion Church and the Zion deacons desire to faithfully care for the members and congregants at Zion Church. Congregational Care involves coming alongside fellow believers with love, care, and support.
Zion members and congregants are encouraged to serve with their hands as well as with their financial resources, by giving over and above their tithes. The deacons oversee a Mercy Fund to assist in meeting these needs.
The Zion Church lead deacon for Congregational Care ministries is Scott Nelson.
Community Needs
Zion Church and the Zion deacons are committed to ministries of mercy, including such ministries as the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center, FoodNet, the People’s City Mission, and Teen Parents, as well as broader ministries such as the PCA MNA (Mission to North America) urban and mercy ministries.
