Project Serve

[ October 10, 2009 9:00 am to October 11, 2009 7:00 pm. ] Zion is again one of the sponsoring churches for the second annual Project Serve Lincoln weekend. Over 3,000 Volunteers from many congregations will spread out into the community to work together on jobs at schools, parks, mission agencies, and other venues.

Teen Parent Program

[ September 8, 2009; 6:30 pm to 8:15 pm. ] Starts on Sept. 8th. They are in need of babysitters this year. All meetings are on Tuesday nights at Redeemer’s Cooper Park building at 8th & D. Mercy Ministry Offering

[ March 29, 2009; 10:00 am; ] This Sunday, March 29, the deacons will collect a special offering to supplement the Zion Church mercy ministry budget. The elders have asked that any funds you offer for this purpose be given in addition to your usual tithe. “Be merciful as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36

Mercy Ministry

The special offering for Mercy Ministry on Sunday was a real encouragement to the Deacons. As the deacons have given more attention to these matters, the amount budgeted for 2008 has already been exceeded, so this offering comes at a very good time. Thanks to all who gave special gifts.
